I made the drafts for this caracter like a year ago or so, I painted it once aswell for theravensnest.nl but it was a pretty crappy piece if I look at it right now , nevertheless I still like the looks and feel of the character so I decided to paint it once more but with more effort this time... allthought this started out as a speed paint it became pretty detailed even.. oh well.. enjoy ^_^'
The detail is truly awesome. The background is detailed, but dark and simple, and the glowing "spirits" or whatever you intended them to be really place the focus around the figure. The clothing and face is nice and sharp, and the ground the character stands upon is sharp, jagged in places, and dirty; I wouldn't want to be walking there. Again, awesome detail.
I really have no issues with this painting, so it's now a favourite. Something for me to aspire to, as well.
Love the face, so emotive.
Great work and beautiful job with the colouring.
I have to say that what engages me the most is the face. Its so full of character. Greatly done!

Nice pose and supreme coloring!
I wonder, what's the original size of that? looks like it has to be rather big in order to get into such details.
